Homeopathic Colibacillinum | Chronic Cystitis & Loss of Memory

“In nature, where there is balance, there is no disease and the germ, in this case the B. Coli in the intestinal tract, performs a useful function. Where the intestinal mucosa is healthy the B. Coli is nonpathogenic.
Any change in the host which affects the intestinal mucosa will upset the balance and will be followed by a change in the habit and the bio-chemistry of the B. Coli, which may then be said to become pathogenic, but it should be noted that the primary change, the disease originated in the host, which compelled the bacillus to modify its habit in order to survive.”
J. Paterson, The Bowel Nosodes

Latin: Bacillus coli (B. Coli), Colibacillinum
Affinity: Digestive tract, Urogenital tract, Psychic

Source of the Homeopathic Remedy | Escherichia coli

This homeopathic bowel nosode was prepared from lysate obtained by culture of several strains of coli bacilli.

Escherichia coli are aerobic or facultatively anaerobic bacteria found in humans’ and of warm blooded animals’ faeces. When the host organism provides an appropriate for their excessive development conditions, E.coli strains become pathogenic to humans, causing enteritis, peritonitis, cystitis, glomerulonephritis, acute kidney insufficiency in babies and infants, and more serious pathological conditions.

The intensive antibiotic treatment of the various intestinal, female and urinary disorders caused by colibacillose is unfortunately the most commonly undertaken therapy from the allopathic physicians. The antibiotics destroy the intestinal flora and thus leave E. coli bacteria to spread freely their colonies, undisturbed. Moreover, the antibiotic therapy is suppressive by its nature; it leads to persistent disturbances in the urinary, the genital and the intestinal systems of the organism.

But the ill effects from erroneous treated coli infections are not limited to chronicity on a physical level. The after effect spreads to the psychic and mind, causing problems in patients’ memory and mental activity, and harming their emotional life.

“I Feel My Head Is Empty”

When going to exam, or having important presentation, or at court hearings, or going to an interview for a new job, they feel that their head is empty. They have to say something essential but just when the time comes their memory is gone drained; there is nothing in their thoughts regarding the concrete problem. This condition can lead to embarrassing situations, and sometimes to really undesirable consequences for their personal and business life.

Or when talking to their children, they want them to do something in particular, but cannot find the right word; there comes funny situation in which they tell to the kid to put the pajamas instead of the jacket when going out, or something like that.

They don’t remember recent events or happenings from even yesterday. In store they hesitate, cannot recall what they wanted to buy. There is constant confusion in their mind because of the loss of memory. They forget the proper names of stuff and of people; can’t decide on anything. Often use one word for another, make mistakes in speaking.

Never Well Since …

The problems with the memory can be traced back in time to an old urinary or intestinal infection, treated with antibiotics. Everything has started then, and the patient had never been well since that time.

The point here is, that this urinary or digestive disorder may had happened long time backwards. The pathology caused by colibacillosis develops slowly and creeps through the organs and systems of the organism. It affects the digestive, cardio-vascular and uro-genital system, progressing to nervous and endocrine level. The chronicity is manifested by persistance of the complaints – at times more acute, at times dulled – but it is always there.

Clinically, indications for Colibacillinum are found in the following conditions: slow digestion, dehydrating diarrhea in babies, frequent urination with burning and pain, irritation of the genitals with burning pains, chronic cholecystitis, cystitis, prostatitis, salpingitis, metritis, meningitis or encephalitis caused by colobacillosis, mental confusion, schizophrenic states, depression, hypersomnia, etc.

These diseases have their etiology in colibacillosis. And one of the most striking symptoms is the allergic reaction to antibiotics or the local and general aggravation from antibiotic therapy.

Chronic Infection of the Bladder

This disorder is most common nowadays, especially affecting young women. It is also a charasteristic chronic disease indicating the need of B. Coli bowel nosode. When it is accompanied by psychosis, Colibacillinum should be considered as very probable homeopathic therapeutic.

Here are the particular symptoms: turbid urine, very fetid; frequent urination of small quantities each time; violent burning pain at the end of stream; the genital are hot and burning after urination; the urging is resumed immediately after urination. Possible symptom is the hematuria.

There is painful feeling in the renal area at the back; also pain in the right lumbar region, especially aggravated on pressure (palpation).

All urinary complaints are worse by cold damp environment, at the seaside and after antibiotics.
