Lycopodium was once quite a big tree; fossils show that in past eras it had occupied important place in the vegetable kingdom. Now it’s called Wolf’s-claw and botanically stands between moss and fern. With evolution it had become low, creeping on the ground perennial plant.
The individual who needs Lycopodium thinks big but feels unable to realize himself. He longs to have power and authority, and at the same time he bows before others who actually bear them. This he hides carefully; for his biggest fear is that his weakness will become apparent, that he will fail.
