Enuresis of Children

Many children suffer from involuntary passage of urine at night, during sleep. Some of them continue to wet the bed during the puberty period and even to adulthood.

It is very difficult for children to overcome this poor habit for it happens during the time when mind is ruled by the unconscious. After the age of 3 and half years this condition is called enuresis and considered as pathology.

Sometimes there are physical pathologies that cause enuresis, like inflammation of urine organs and passages, acute diseases, immaturity of the sphincters, etc. But in most of the children bed wetting is predisposed by over excitement of the nervous system due to factors like fears, unsatisfied desires, or other strong emotions.

Crucial point in treatment of bladder incontinence is to find the exciting cause which forced the rise of this disorder. This is generally valid for homeopathic treatment of all diseases. By removing or treating the cause we most certainly are getting near to the real endurable cure.

However this is easier said than done.

Bellow are described the homeopathic remedies which are most commonly prescribed for nocturnal enuresis in children, in potencies higher than 30 C. The local and general physical symptoms of the remedies are presented from the perspective of their affection on the urinary tract.

Also the some of the important mental and emotional characteristics and the causing factors for the pathology of each remedy should be considered in order to have homeopathic similimum of the case, which as pointed above is a key-stone for successful cure. Many other remedies are able to cure nocturnal enuresis, when the underlying factor for it is found in their picture. Therefore again, the careful examination of the patient history is essential.
