Biochemical Treatment of Incontinence

Affinity: The iron element is found in the red blood corpuscles but also in every human cell. Misbalance of the iron molecules in the muscles causes relaxing, congestion and haemorrhage. Ferr-phos is curative in congestive diseases in lean children with lack of appetite.

Urinary symptoms: Incontinence of urine from weakness of the sphincter muscle. Wetting of the bed, especially in children.

Ferr-phos presents weakness of the muscles, when every cough causes the urine to spurt. It is most effective in the first stage of cystitis with pain, heat or feverishness.

Excessive secretion of urine. Irresistible urging to urinate aggravated by standing and accompanied by pain along the urethra and neck of the bladder.

Retention of urine in little children with high fever. Insufficient assimilation of iron element.

Dosage: Twice a day.

Kalium muriaticum

Affinity: This salt is found in the blood, nerves and muscles. It is shown in the second stage of all inflammations, where the mucous membranes are affected. Discharges are white, the tongue has grey coating.

Urinary symptoms: Second stage of urinary inflammation, cystitis, with swelling and discharge of thick, white mucus with the urine.

It is the principal remedy in chronic cystitis.

Urine is dark-colored, with deposit of uric acid, where these exist torpor and inactivity of the liver.

Dosage: Up to four times daily, for at least two weeks.

Affinity: Kali-phos is found in all human fluids and tissues, with primary presence in the brain, nerves, muscles and blood. It is an antiseptic and prevents the decay of tissues.

Urinary symptoms: Cystitis in weak children, exhausted and prostrated. Frequent urination, or passing large quantities of watery yellow urine. Nervous weakness, causing incontinence of urine. Bleeding from the urethra.

Paralysis of the sphincter muscle, causing inability to retain the urine. Enuresis in elder children.

Dosage: Up to four times daily, for at least two weeks.

Affinity: Mag-phos is constituent of muscles and nerves. Cramps, convulsions and other nervous affections are its main field of action. This is the so called “hot seven” amongst the cell salts.

Urinary symptoms: Constant urging to urinate whenever the person is standing or walking. Spasmodic retention of the urine. Sand in urine. Child passes large quantities of urine.

Dosage: Up to four times daily diluted in hot water.

Affinity: Nat-phos is found in the blood, muscles and nerve cells. It is an ingredient of the internal cell fluids. The remedy is applicable in all disturbances caused by excess of acidity (due to excessive consumption of sugar).

Urinary symptoms: Incontinence of urine in children with acidity. Polyuria. Urine is dark red, frequently passed. Diabetes. Atony of the bladder. Sand in urine.

Main remedy in bladder catarrh.

Dosage: As prescribed in chronic conditions, Nat-phos should be accepted for several weeks.
